VA Benefits & Long Term Planning

Aging with Grace assists members to identify financial resources to help defray the cost of eldercare while ensuring that long term care funding is not jeopardized. We work with our members to plan all aspects of their long term care needs, including VA Pension Benefits and Medicaid.

Did you serve your country? Are you the surviving spouse of Veteran?

If so, do you know you may be eligible for rarely used Veterans Benefits to help supplement high cost non-reimbursed monthly medical expenses?

Our veterans and their surviving spouses are entitled to federal government health benefit programs, yet so few older veterans take advantage of the Non-Service Connected Improved Pension Benefit, commonly referred to as the "Aid and Attendance" benefits program.

This benefit is not dependent upon service-related injuries and allows for Veterans and surviving spouses with very low incomes or high expenses for care to receive additional monetary benefits.

Personalized Planning Assistance Available for an Additional Fee:

• Long Term Care Planning Consultation

• Membership in Aging with Grace included.
• PLUS:
  • Review of financial options to pay for care including Medicaid eligibility for short and long term care needs.
  • Referrals to Elder Law Attorneys and/or Financial Planners for estate planning.
  • Veteran Benefits information to include what they are, who can qualify and what information and documentation is necessary to file a well developed claim. If it appears you could be eligible for VA benefits, AWG is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist with the preparation, filing, and tracking of claims at no additional cost.
